Welcome to the National Environmental Science Programme (NESP) Tropical Water Quality Hub’s latest newsletter!

The NESP Tropical Water Quality Hub is focused on commissioning solution-oriented research to water quality issues in tropical waters, focusing upon the Great Barrier Reef, Torres Strait and their associated catchments. Now in the second year of its six-year term, the Hub has thus far commissioned more than 40 research projects via two rounds of funding.  Projects for the 2nd round have only recently started, whereas the 24 projects commissioned in the first round are in the process of being finalised. In this newsletter, we highlight outcomes from six of the Round 1 projects that have now concluded.

All projects commissioned by the Tropical Water Quality Hub are required to produce technical reports before project completion, thus ensuring the rapid dissemination of project outcomes. Final reports and other outputs of all our projects (e.g. factsheets, brochures) are posted to our hub website (www.nesptropical.edu.au) as soon as they are completed. More than 40 downloadable items are online there already, and growing steadily. You can keep track of our new outputs as soon as they become available, by following our twitter feed or asking to be added to our email list.
